A and E to discuss fund-raising event set for April 1

The Lewistown Arts and Entertainment District Association Board will meet at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 in the Brooks Market Restaurant, 104 Second Avenue South in Lewistown. There will be a discussion of an event to raise funds for the A and E’s parklet project.

The A and E recently received a $1,000 donation to be used as part of the organization’s $2,000 match needed for the parklet project. The Department of Commerce, which awarded a grant of $5,000 for the project, requires local matching funds. So the group must raise the other $1,000. An event with food, music and other entertainment is being considered for April 1 at the former TV Appliance Building on Main Street. The public is invited to the Friday meeting.
