A and E to hear reports on banners and parklet


The Lewistown Arts and Entertainment District Association Board will meet at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 16, in the second floor conference room of the Brooks Building. There will be discussion about the banners to go up Main Street and on the parklet being built by Spika Manufacturing Co. 

The meeting is open to the public.


Fergus County Fair Board to meet June 20


The regular monthly meeting of the Fergus County Fair Board will be held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, in the lobby of the Trade Center. Items to be discussed include the 4-H show, bathroom showers, nursing station, Mid-Rivers’ wireless proposal and the Central Montana Fair.

The public is encouraged to attend.


Moose to hold Fathers Day Dinner


The annual Fathers Day Dinner will be held in the Moose Lodge Dining Room on Friday, June 16 at 6 p.m. As usual, the girls are planning a great meal for the guys. Bring all the men (and ladies, too) in your family. Great food, great fun and great comradery. See you there.


Save the Barns to discuss status of national registration


The Save the Barns Committee will meet at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 16, in the Six18 Coffee Shop, 618 W. Main St. A consultant has completed work on the application for registration on the National Register of Historic Places. The presentation will be made this fall to the State Review Board. 

The meeting is open to the public.


Wind and Strings to perform at Saturday’s dance


Come and dance to the country band, Wind and Strings, at the June 17, Saturday afternoon dance. The band features Tom Wilson on harmonica, Carole Songer on vocals, Tony Hencil on dobro and Woodie Westburg on guitar and vocals.

The dance hall is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. The dance goes from 2-4 p.m. Dancers of all ages are welcome.

There will be a coffee/cookie break at 3 p.m. 

There is a small admission fee.
