Denton Bible Church celebrates 50th anniversary
The Denton Bible Church marks its golden anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 18. The day starts with fellowship and a time to share memories at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Worship Celebration led by pastors Jesse Rust and Harold Dover, Denton Bible Church’s first pastor. A potluck will follow. Those attending are asked to bring salads and desserts.

Groovy Gaffer fans, come dance on Sept. 17
The Groovy Gaffers will provide the music for the Saturday Afternoon Dance on Sept. 17. The band features Lauri Lohrer on vocals and Dave Robertson, Don and Barb Engle on guitars and vocals. The dance goes from 2 to 4 p.m. with a short coffee cookie break at 3 p.m. If you enjoy dancing to good country music, come and join in the fun. Dancers of all ages are welcome. The club building is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. There is a small admission fee.

Hilger Trap Shoot is Sunday
The Hilger Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Trap Shoot on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m., at the Hilger Gun Shooting Range, located at the junction of Highway 191 and Winifred Highway 236. Winners get cash prizes. Food is available at the concession stand, and raffles include a certified Angus beef package donated by Arntzen Angus Ranch, and half a pig donated by Hilger Meats. LDA to meet Wednesday, Sept. 28
The next Lewistown Downtown Association meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28 at Brooks conference room. Event planning meeting will be held at 1 p.m. and the regular board meeting will be held at 2 p.m. This meeting is open to the public; hope to see you all there.
