Noretta ‘Rita’ Flowers



Noretta M. Flowers (Rita), 80, passed away on Nov. 24, 2017. She suffered for eight years from different complications from a stroke. Her husband Gordon was her loving and faithful caregiver.

Rita was born July 12, 1937 to Lester and Alice Kelly in Lewistown. She attended school at St. Leo’s and Fergus High. Rita was a fun-loving, special friend to many, especially with her lifelong and best friend, Eileen (Pollard) Econom. Rita was a caregiver to the truest form. She always made sure everyone was taken care of around her. Her laugh will be missed by many. She was married to her best friend Gordon Flowers for 43 years.

Remembering her love are her husband Gordon, her children: Rick, Adele, Angela, Robert, Kim and Kathy, and her many grandchildren, her brother Marvin (Chris) Kelly, and many dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cathy, son Ricky, and her sisters Rachel Glidewell and Nina Wilson.

Rita’s Celebration of Life is on Saturday, today, Dec. 9, at the Elks Dance Club from 2 to 4 p.m. Contact Jenna Robles.
