Opal June Aldrich

Opal June (Triepke) Aldrich, 93, passed away at the Caslen Living Center in Lewistown on Friday, July 22, 2016 with her family by her side.

Opal was born in Winifred on Sept. 20, 1922 to Fred John and Viola Jo (Philbrook) Triepke. Opal graduated from Winifred High School, and later attended telegraph training at a business school in California.

Opal worked for Ward’s Grocery in Lewistown until her marriage. On March 16, 1946 Opal married Milton Duane Aldrich in Great Falls, and together they worked on the family ranch. She was a member of the Beaver Creek Women’s Club.

Opal is survived by her children, Marvin Milton (Geraldine) Aldrich, Dennis Duane Aldrich, Alan Robert (Christie) Aldrich, Vicki June (Edmund) Bond, Lori Ann (Kenneth) Smith; siblings, Jeanette Jo Boyle and Louis Matt Miros; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton; parents, Fred and Viola; brother, Francis Triepke; sister, Beverly Jean Erickson; daughter-in-law, Barbara Aldrich; and step-father, Matt Miros.

Viewing/visitation was at the Creel Funeral Home Chapel on Monday evening, July 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The Funeral Service was at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 26, 10:30 a.m. Interment was at the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Central Montana Medical Center Hospice, 408 Wendell Ave., Lewistown, MT 59457.
