Operation Christmas Child recipient tells her story

Olesea Ialanji, recipient of the Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child,” was born and raised in a small village in Moldova, a country in the former Soviet Union. Everyone in Olesea’s family of nine worked hard in order to make ends meet. When Olesea was 5 years old, her church announced all the children would be receiving gifts from America.

Come hear how a simple, shoebox gift impacted her life as a child and how it continues to shape her life today. Her story will be shared on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 602 Main Street in Roundup.
