Petroleum County voters favor Bartel, Rosendale and Gianforte

Unofficial results from Petroleum County show voters in that county favored Republican Matt Rosendale (248) over Democrat Jon Tester (58) in the race for U.S. Senate. Liberatarian Rick Breckenridge earned 6 votes.

In the race for U.S. House of Representatives, Greg Gianforte won big with 259 votes over Kathleen Williams, who had 46 votes. Elinor Swanson earned eight votes.

Randy Pinnoci (R) won big over Doug Kaercher in the race for Public Service Commission 258 votes to 40.

Locally, Dan Bartel, Republican, defeated Rachel Stansberry (D) in the race for HD 29. Bartel earned 88% of the vote or 268 compared to 12% or 37 votes for Stansberry.

Sigrid Pugrud received 278 votes in an uncontested race for county commissioner.

Petroleum County voters also went strongly against initiatives 185 and 186, with 185 getting 77% no votes and 186 getting 85% no votes.
