Police Blotter

The following report is taken from information provided by the Lewistown Police Department and does not represent the total scope of police activity. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

 

Mar. 31

• At 1:36 p.m. a person reported a possible drug run coming through town. Officers were advised.

• At 2:27 p.m. a person reported a suspicious male stopped at her house, asking to do odd jobs around her place. The person was advised to call the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office.

• At 6:53 p.m. the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office asked the Lewistown Police Department to contact the Salvation Army for an individual needing assistance for the night.

• At 11:20 p.m. the Granite County Sheriff’s Office requested an address for an individual they have entered a warrant on.

 

Apr. 1

• At 8:51 a.m. a person reported there was a sinkhole. The Fergus County Sheriff’s Office was advised due to the location. A Lewistown Police Department officer responded. The Fergus County Road crew was advised.

• At 9:38 a.m. the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office reported a vehicle had nose-dived into the ditch by East Fork Dam. The Fergus County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol responded.

• At 11:40 a.m. a 911 caller reported a single vehicle rollover with possible  injuries. The Lewistown Fire Department, the Lewistown Ambulance, the Lewistown Police Department, the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Department responded. Two patients were transported by ambulance and personally owned vehicle.

• At 12:19 p.m. a person asked if some money they had received was counterfeit or not. An officer responded. The money was real.

• At 1:31 p.m. a 911 caller reported a vicious dog at large. The dog was headed to the city park. The Code Enforcement officer responded. The dog was later found with the owner, who was warned. 

 

Apr. 2

• At 2 p.m. a 911 call was received from a female who asked for a deputy to respond to her location. Dispatch asked what was going on and the female said she could not talk now. The female was asked if she was in danger. She replied by saying she had to go. The Fergus County Sheriff’s Office responded. One male was arrested for PFMA. 

 

Apr. 3

• At 9:20 a.m. a person requested a four-wheeler be removed from his business parking lot. Officer responded and the vehicle was towed to the impound lot as it had fictitious plates.  

 

Apr. 4

• At 11:46 a.m. a person reported derby cars in the 700 block of Montana Street. Code enforcement responded and stickered the vehicles.

• At 1:20 p.m. a person reported he loaned a gun to a female about three-and-a-half years ago and the female gave him the case back with no gun. An officer spoke to the person.

• At 6:39 p.m. a person reported a male who walks his three dogs by the water tower and doesn’t clean up after them.

 

Apr. 5

• At 12:19 a.m. a person reported a male was hit by a four-wheeler in the 400 block of W. Broadway. The Lewistown Police Department, the Lewistown Ambulance and the Lewistown Fire Department responded. 

• At 12:24 p.m. a 911 caller reported her adult daughter had attacked her in her vehicle hitting her in the head. A female was arrested for Partner Family Member Assault.
