Relay for Life event a resounding success

Dear Editor,
As most everyone knows, the annual Central Montana - American Cancer Society Relay For Life event was held at the Fergus County Fairgrounds on July 8.
Having registered a team barely two weeks before this event, and thus only able to attend two organizational meetings, I had minimal time to become acquainted with the committee members and other team captains regarding what to do, and how to do it. In short, my many, many questions for information were quickly answered in incredible fashion by all.
Although Mother Nature ended up deciding to throw a wet curveball necessitating planned activities being quickly moved indoors under the grandstand, the overall success of the event was resoundingly successful. Fifteen teams with 85 registered participants; almost $41,000 dollars raised; 75 Survivor dinners being served and 500 Luminarias prepared is, yes, the definition of a resounding success.
To Event Chair Chris Cooler and her incredible committee members, this shout-out is for you to thank and acknowledge the immense commitment of your time and energy in making this event the success that it was.
