Robert (Bob) George Hudson

Robert (Bob) George Hudson of Sheridan, Wyoming, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. Bob was a long-time resident of Sheridan. He began his electrical career as a lineman building powerlines across the U.S. for 16 years before going to work as an electrician for Decker Coal, from which he later retired after 22 years of service. After retirement he went to work part time for Holly Sugar as an electrician.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his time fishing and camping as well as playing golf. He was a long time member of the Elks, and especially loved to go dancing, as well as doing garage sales. He was fortunate in that he spent his final moments on the golf course, even though he didn’t make it past the third hole.

Bob was born in Ashton, Idaho on March 17, 1939 to William Harry and Lucille George-Hudson. He spent most of his years growing up in the Ashton area, and spent his final high school years in Montana, where the family had purchased a ranch.

He was preceded in death by his brother Lawrence, father William Harry, mother Lucille and wife LaWanda. He is survived by his sister Mary Hudson of Boise, Idaho, brother Don Hudson and wife LeAnn of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and children Bobbi Merrell and husband Troy of Cameron, Missouri, Michael Parker and wife Youllonda of Edgerton, Missouri, Sandra Frost of Sheridan, Wyoming, Trent Hughes of Cameron, Missouri, as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Bob had a great many friends, never knew a stranger and will be missed by all. Services were held at the Kane Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25 with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating and a reception following.
