The Roy-Winifred girls’ basketball and boys’ basketball teams face two tough conference opponents this weekend. On Friday, the Outlaws travel to Belt. The Lady Outlaws have been playing solid basketball over the past few weeks and will look to see how much they have improved when they take on the Lady Huskies. The Roy-Winifred boys’ basketball team is probably playing their best ball in over two years. They will have to play solid against the Huskies if they want to come away with a win.
Saturday, Tri-City travels to Winifred to play the Outlaw squads. An upset of the Lady Outlaws certainly has to be on the minds of the Lady Titans. A win over the Titans by the Outlaws would certainly give the Roy-Winifred boys’ team some confidence during the rest of the season. It might be the game of the week in District 8C.
In other conference games this weekend, Centerville plays Winnett-Grass Range on Friday in Grass Range. Saturday, Winnett-Grass Range hosts Denton-Geyser-Stanford in Winnett. Centerville hosts Geraldine-Highwood in another conference showdown on Saturday.
