The fifth annual Sportsman Challenge is set for Saturday, Aug. 20, and area shooters are invited to come out and enjoy a fun morning of sporting clays for a good cause.

The event will be held at the Central Montana Shooting Complex, located north of Lewistown off Limeklin Road.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. on Aug. 20 and shooting will begin at 9 a.m. It will be a 100-bird shoot, with four-person teams, and the winning team earning a check for their outdoor group or charity.

Past winning teams having included Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited and the Central Montana Shooting Complex.

“Everybody is welcome, whether they have a team or not, we will find somebody for them to shoot with,” said Paul Harris, who is organizing the event.

Sporting clays are shot every Thursday from 6 p.m. to dark at the local shooting complex.
