The following report is taken from information provided by the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department and does not represent the total scope of the sheriff’s department’s activity. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 7
• At 10:08 a.m. a woman visited the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department lobby to report missing medication. She thought the medicine went missing around Aug. 1.

Dec. 8
• At  5:43 a.m. Central Montana Dispatch told the sheriff’s department they had taken a call about flames by a house. A fire department responded, and advised all departments involved that it was just a heat lamp in a chicken coop.

• At 4:37 p.m. a caller reported a missing cow. The woman stated it was 600 pounds and chocolate in color with a yellow tag in one ear.

Dec. 9
• At 9:02 a.m. a man reported missing pills. He stated they had been stolen from his medicine cabinet a few months ago.

• At 3:18 p.m. a woman called in about missing pills. She reported two bottles of prescription medication were missing from her medicine cabinet. They had been there the last time she checked about two weeks ago, but today she had received a call advising her to check for the bottles and had discovered them gone.

• At 8:18 p.m. Central Montana Dispatch reported a 911 call from a disgruntled customer. The man said he had ordered a Christmas tree last week, and had yet to hear back from the seller. The man was told 911 was for emergencies only, and the caller stated this was not an actual emergency.
