Aug. 3
• At 4:48 p.m. a man reported plastic water bottles in the ditch. He was concerned people were using them to make meth.

Aug. 4
• At 7:39 a.m. a man called in about dusty roads. He said several large dump trucks drove by his home that morning, kicking up a lot of dust and making him nervous for the health of his cattle.

Aug. 5
• At 7:05 a.m. a caller reported a missing dog. The man’s longhaired wiener dog jumped out of his truck last night at Eddies Corner.

• At 11:22 a.m. a woman called in a mysterious substance. Found by the pasture gate, the woman said it was a paste yesterday, but was now a white powder. A bottle cap and chunks of red stuff made her suspect something had exploded. A deputy responded, took some of the substance for testing and later advised the scene was remnants of an exploded shampoo bottle.

Aug. 8
• At 7:25 a.m. a concerned citizen reported possible pet abandonment after spotting a dog kennel that had been dumped overnight into a dry lake bed. The woman called back after checking it out, reporting it only contained buckets of corn.
