Tammy (Phillips) Jasinski

Tammy Jane (Phillips) Jasinski passed away Aug. 15, 2022, in Great Falls after a long-term illness. Tammy was born to Jack and Alma (Roane) Phillips on June 10, 1964, in Lewistown.

Tammy attended schools in multiple states while growing up including Arizona, Maine, Nevada, New York, and ultimately attending and graduating from Charles M. Russell High School in 1982 in Great Falls.

Growing up as a military child, Tammy was actively involved in multiple Girl Scout troops across the United States, including Bucks Harbor, Maine, Lewistown, and Las Vegas, Nev. While living in Maine and later in New York, Tammy found herself engulfed in youth group activities throughout her community. Tammy enjoyed other activities including softball, creative writing, and drawing. As a seventh grader in Great Falls, she wrote an article and created an outstanding presentation with memorable graphics about Charlie Russell. The C. M. Russell Museum displayed both in the art room between 1976-1977. While she was in New York, she wrote a script for a play that was filmed on Montauk Air Force base in 1979. After high school, Tammy worked at Loy Elementary School, Great Falls, and later began a career in commercial and residential real estate management in both California and Montana. Tammy’s life enjoyments were reading, crafting, spending time with her family, camping, and boating.

Tammy met James “Jazz” Jasinski while he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in 1984 and they later married on Aug. 25, 1986, in Fort Benton. On March 21, 1987, they had their wedding blessed in Lewistown. After a brief military assignment at Vandenberg Air Force Base (1997-2001), Tammy and James made Great Falls their home.

Tammy is survived by her husband, James Jasinski; daughter, Ashley (Tim) Kaluza of Great Falls; son, Ethan of Great Falls; granddaughters, Savannah and Carrina Kaluza of Great Falls; parents, Jack and Alma Phillips of Lewistown; mother-inlaw, Dianne Jasinski of Bay City, Mich.; brother-in-law, Ken Jasinski of Great Falls; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by granddaughter, Alaina Kaluza; brothers, David Phillips and Daniel Phillips; father-in-law, Kenneth Jasinski, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Dawn Jasinski.
