Traffic Control Training at Hilger Fire on Jan. 8

From 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Alex Betz will present “Traffic Control” training at the Hilger Fire Hall. Firefighters will learn how to reduce risk of injury when responding to calls on roads and highways by implementing traffic incident management.

Sgt. Betz will cover on-scene safety measures, use of advance warning devices, apparatus parking, importance of PPE and more. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

Traffic-related incidents are among the leading causes of first responder fatalities. All Hilger firefighters and those from surrounding rural districts are encouraged to attend this outstanding training that could save your life. Mark your calendar for 5:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8 at Hilger Fire Hall to learn how to stay safe.
