Vesper Chapter 83

The regular meeting of Vesper Chapter 83 in Hobson was held with Worthy Matron Dorothy Brook and Worthy Patron Jim McCollum, presiding.

The meeting was opened in regular form; minutes of the last meeting were read and the necessary correspondence was read.

Members Jim and Marilyn Lewis filled offices that were vacant. Many thanks for helping out.

The form of balloting, as well as the conferring of degrees, was exemplified in preparation of the Official Visit later in the month.

The Charter was draped in memory of our departed member, Maxine Otis. Many cherished memories of her faithful service were shared by members; one in particular was her baked rolls. Members were thanked for their service with the Eastern Star funeral service during Maxine’s funeral service earlier that day.

In checking over the list to send cards to our resident who resides at the Masonic Home in Helena, we found some months needed redoing. Cards are sent to cheer as often as possible.

Reports, were given, on visits to Great Falls, Cascade and Helena. Debbie Bricker reported that she visited with our shut-in while at the Masonic Home Tea, found her in good health and took her a gift.

We have members with health difficulties; Merle Boeman and Elma Stone. Our thoughts and prayers are with them both.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to Earl Bricker with hope he enjoys “many more.”

The Chapter was closed in regular form. Jim and Marilyn Lewis served a delightful dessert and we all enjoyed good fellowship.
