May 12 - The menu was pasta sausage bake, seven-layer salad, deviled eggs, fruit and cookies. In the absence of the president today, Joan called the meeting to order. There were twenty-one dinners and four take-out meals served. Thank you to our cooks for a delicious meal.
Geri DeLeo was here talking about May SMP Care Share letter. She also discussed scammers that target seniors. Geri always has good information for seniors, and is always willing to help anyone out with questions about insurance, programs, prescriptions.
The 50/50 was won by Bill Menenger for $6.50. Dave Lewis was in the hospital but is home now and doing much better. Annie Shaw is doing okay at the moment. After cleanup was finished, cards were played.
May 19 - Twenty-five seniors enjoyed a meal of ranch house meatballs, baked potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffed celery, and dessert clean-up. There were two take out meals.
Gary G. won the 50/50 for $6.00. Gary and Linda reported on their trip to Branson, Missouri. Bonnie Dill spoke about the small animal clinic on June 3 at the emergency services building. Vet Scott Damby was there. Cards were played both before and after lunch.
May 26 -The birthday meal of oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes and milk gravy, cranberries, salad, birthday cake and ice cream was served. Gunda celebrated her birthday this month. Linda G. made the birthday cakes. Happy Birthday, Gunda, and thank you to our cooks and to Linda for the delicious cake.
Annie Shaw suffered a massive stroke yesterday. She is in St. Vincent Hospital in Billings. The prognosis is not good. Marty Kelly had a knee operation. Donald Fleharty passed away and Merle Klakken suffered a stroke. We sent our sympathy and words of encouragement to these friends and neighbors.
Donna Lund shared a letter from RSVP. There will be an appreciation dinner in Roundup on June 18 for anyone who is interested. Dinner will be catered in the basement of the Catholic Church in Roundup.
Deli won the 50/50 for $8. Congratulations were offered to Mr. and Mrs. Burt Bevis. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Jack and Shirley Hughes were welcomed back from Arizona for the summer. It is always good to see them when they get back. Cards were played before and after lunch. Everyone helped with clean up, so all the dishes were done, floors swept, counters and tables wiped off, ready for the next meeting.
