Youth Mentoring Senior Spotlight

Cole has been a mentor for all four years of high school. He says he enjoyed being a mentor and feels lucky to have had the same mentee the entire time. They enjoyed many activities together but especially being outdoors, going to the park, and they both really enjoyed the Youth Mentoring bowling party.

Cole had this to say about the mentoring experience: “I think that I have helped guide my mentee and be a positive influence to him.”

He just wishes he could have spent more time with his mentee in the summer.

Cole says that his parents have been his role models. He said, “My parents have raised me into becoming a respectful young man, and shown me how to live my life the right way as I have grown up.”

He has been busy at Fergus High: involved in F-Club, National Honor Society, FFA, football and basketball. He has an interest in math and business and hopes to become a ranch manager or an accountant someday. To help him achieve those goals he will be attending Montana State University to earn a degree in business. He says the special part of high school for him was strengthening his relationships with his fellow students and hopes to stay in communication with them.

Cole added that being in the mentor program has been a positive influence for him and said, “I will continue to be a positive role model to whomever I can and help others who are in need.”
