The following report is taken from information provided by the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department and does not represent the total scope of the sheriff’s department’s activity. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

Sept. 27

• At 11:33 a.m. a businesswoman asked for a deputy to be present during a transaction with an “unhappy customer.” At 11:43 the customer called from Sandpoint, ID, to request the same law enforcement presence when she and friends retrieved some items from the “shysters.” The civil standby was completed at 8:27 p.m.

Sept. 28

• At 10:20 a.m. a caller reported people were removing “No Trespassing” signs, breaking fences and spinning four-wheelers on his property.

Sept. 29

• At 7:25 p.m. Central Montana Dispatch requested a deputy response for a caller reporting a “female predator.” The man said the woman, with whom he had just broken up, was in his yard. He was worried she would do damage to his car or start a fire, and was unsure if she had a knife. A responding deputy found the woman had already left. At 8:30 p.m. the woman called the sheriff’s office, gave her side of the story and said she would be civil.
