The following report is taken from information provided by the Lewistown Police Department and does not represent the total scope of police activity. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

 

Feb, 10

• At 12:46 p.m. the Fergus County Sheriff’s deputy requested assistance locating a driver who fled from the scene of a vehicle accident. 

• At 2:18 p.m. a 911 call was received from an individual who wanted to thank all the responders who had assisted with his medical call last week.

• At 4:55 p.m. a Fergus County Sheriff’s deputy requested assistance with a suicidal female at a local gas station. Officers responded. The deputy transported the female to CMMC.

• At 5:39 p.m. a caller reported smoke in her basement, possibly from a defective water heater. Lewistown Fire responded and advised the smoke was coming from the water heater and the caller needed to contact a plumber and electrician for repair.

• At 11:33 p.m. a 911 caller reported an erratic driver. The Fergus County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol responded. A person was taken in for DUI processing.

 

Feb. 11

• At 11:05 a.m. a caller in Hobson reported the neighbor’s cat was at her residence trying to attack her and her dogs. The person said the cat appeared to be foaming at the mouth or infected. A deputy responded, but was unable to locate any cats matching the description. A deputy spoke to a neighbor who said she had not seen any cats that looked sick. 

• At 7:06 p.m. a 911 caller reported a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant near the Art Center. An officer responded and issued a parking citation.

 

Feb. 12

• At 8:58 a.m. a Butte County Sheriff’s officer requested assistance with the phone number of a registered vehicle owner having a Lewistown address. The information requested was for an abandoned car in their jurisdiction.

• At 9:08 a.m. the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office advised no burn permits to be issued for that day.

• At 8:08 p.m. a 911 caller requested assistance as her husband had taken her keys and wouldn’t give them back. Officers responded. The female was transported to the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office detention facility on unrelated charges.

 

Feb. 13

• At 11:29 a.m. a person requested a cat trap for a cat killing her birds.

• At 3:09 p.m. a 911 caller reported a field fire at a location. The Hilger Fire Department responded.

• At 11:20 p.m. a 911 caller reported an intoxicated male who was walking, yelling and cursing. Officers responded and transported the male home.

 

Feb. 14

• At 8:53 a.m. a person said someone left a baggie of pills on the step of their truck. An officer responded.

• At 3:17 p.m. a 911 caller reported a male face down on the sidewalk. Medical transported.

• At 8:04 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting a suspicious male north of Judith Gap on the highway. The Fergus County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol responded. A male was transported to the Fergus County Sheriff’s Office detention center.

• At 8:29 p.m. a 911 caller reported a grass fire behind the Denton School. The Denton Fire Department responded.

 

Feb. 15

• At 5:53 p.m. a person said someone was walking his dogs at a location and didn’t pick up after the dogs. An officer was advised.

• At 9:43 p.m. the Montana Highway Patrol requested deputy assistance for a traffic stop. Two males were arrested.

 

Feb. 16

• At 8:40 p.m. a caller reported receiving harassing text messages from an unknown person. A Judith Basin County Deputy spoke to the caller.
