The following report is taken from information provided by the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department and does not represent the total scope of the sheriff’s department’s activity. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

May 11
• At 5:20 a.m. a woman walked into the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department with a black Scottish terrier that had followed her on her morning jog. The owner picked up the dog before 8:30 a.m.
• At 7:41 p.m. a woman called in a traffic complaint. She stated a gray truck had passed her on the right and was weaving on and off the road. At 8:17 p.m. a law officer reported they were bringing in an adult woman. At 8:21 p.m. a woman was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to drive on the right of the roadway before she was booked into jail.
• At 9:42 p.m. Central Montana Dispatch radioed a fire department was responding to a house fire caused by a lightning strike. The caller thought her husband had extinguished the flames, but wanted someone to make sure nothing was still burning.

May 12
• At 1:55 p.m. a woman called in a complaint about a strange phone call. She said she had picked up her phone to hear a male caller give his name, say he had a package for her and then ask if she was home alone. The woman lied, saying she was not alone, and when the caller asked for another person, she stated the person was outside. The woman said she did live alone, but added she had a medical alert button. Dispatch gave her the number to the Federal Communications Commission and told her to call back immediately if someone did show up.

May 14
• At 12:27 a.m. Central Montana Dispatch advised the sheriff’s department that a cat bite victim was in the emergency room, but that the cat has been vaccinated.
