The following report is taken from information provided by the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department and does not represent the total scope of the sheriff’s department’s activity. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

May 18
• At 4:13 p.m. a caller reported another driver on the road who was swerving, swiped a guardrail and drove away. At 5:58 p.m. a woman was arrested by a Montana Highway Patrol trooper and cited for a second-offence DUI, no insurance, driving suspended, failure to give notice of an accident by quickest means possible and leaving the scene of an accident. The woman was then booked into the Fergus County Jail.
• At 10:02 p.m. a driver reported a deer hit his vehicle.

May 19
• At 11:25 p.m. Central Montana Dispatch called in a report of dead black bear by the road. The caller said the animal seemed to have been hit by a car.

May 21
• At 9:12 p.m. a report came in about a truck driving recklessly. The caller stated the vehicle was all over the road and tailgating. At 9:54 p.m. a deputy pulled over a vehicle with a male driver, and arrived at Fergus County Sheriff’s Office with a male at 10:10 p.m. The deputy issued the man citations for driving suspended, a second-offense DUI and failing to drive to the right of a roadway. The man was booked into jail at 10:49 p.m.

May 23
• At 10:40 a.m. a man was transferred from the Fergus County District Court to the Fergus County Jail. He was booked into jail on his original citation from last July, failing to register as a sexual or violent offender.
