Crystal Tyler, office manager:

Summer is slowly coming to a close. We’ve been working on afterschool enrollments, and meetings for new families are coming up. New families may start signing up for the afterschool program on July 31 at noon or Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. These meetings will be at the Boys and Girls Club. All families must attend one of these meetings in order to enroll their child.

Current families: If you missed either of the previous meetings you may come to one of these as well. If you have any questions, please call me at the Club.

Reminder: Monday, July 31, the Club will close at 1:30 p.m. for staff trainings.

Tracy Huck, education director:

At the Club we were given a fair POP ticket (all-day ride-pass) and nine gate-passes to give to our kiddos. I decided to do something fun: For the POP ticket, the kids had to draw their favorite thing at the fair, and for the gate-passes, they had to draw their favorite adult at the Club. The kids had a great time being creative and Alexis and I had a rough time narrowing down the winners. Hope you all have a great week.

Christina Foucher, STEAM director:

This summer is a hot one. Every Tuesday and Friday we take our Club kids to the pool from 1:30-5 p.m. to keep cool. We also implement outside water games, sprinklers and a slip-and-slide.

Aside from water fun, we include movies, because sometimes kiddos are just tired. Relaxing with a movie is a fun and necessary activity. If you see a movie playing, we are just letting the kiddos chill. They love it.

With all the water fun, movies, projects and activities, we keep your children busy. If they come home tired, mission accomplished. Have a fabulous week.
