Central Montana 

Head Start Menu Oct. 2-6

 

Central Montana Head Start menu is as follows:

B=breakfast, S=snack, L=lunch. All meals are served with 1 percent milk.

Monday – B. Oatmeal, raisins, milk. L. Tuna noodle with veggies, pineapple, milk. S. Carrot sticks, pretzels, water.

Tuesday – B. Yogurt, granola, seasonal berries, milk. L. Ham and cheese sandwich, peppers, apples, milk. S. Pineapple, cheese stick, water.

Wednesday – B. Pancakes, peaches, milk. L. Chicken noodle soup with veggies, rolls, oranges, milk. S. Pancakes, peaches, water.

Thursday – B. Pear bread, applesauce, milk. L. Spaghetti, tossed salad, tropical fruit, milk. S. Peppers, hardboiled eggs, water.

Friday – B. Cinnamon toast, pears, milk. L. Chicken cornbread casserole with veggies, mandarin oranges, milk.

Lewistown 

School Menu Oct. 2-6

 

The Lewistown Public School lunch menu for all school buildings is as follows:

Monday – Nachos with whole grain chips, cheesy breadstick, corn, celery and baby carrots, banana and cereal bar

Tuesday – Chicken stir fry, chow mein noodles, rice pilaf, broccoli and cauliflower and grape cluster

Wednesday – Barbecue chicken on a bun, calico fries, baked beans and orange wedges

Thursday – Country-fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, cucumbers and snap peas and tropical fruit salad (Gr. 5-12) whole grain roll

Friday – (Gr. K-6) Blue and Gold sack lunch, (Gr. 7-12) Homecoming hamburger

 

Junior high and high school lunch menus include an alternate entrée: Monday – Big Daddy pizza; Tuesday – hamburger on a bun; Wednesday – French bread pizza; Thursday – chicken on a bun; Friday – Big Daddy pizza.

Grab ‘n Go meals are available and include sandwich and salad choices each day. Grab ‘n Go meals include milk and cost the same as a hot lunch.

 

Breakfast

Breakfast is served for 30 minutes before the first bell of the school day. The menu includes:

Monday – Cold cereal, cinnamon toast, juice

Tuesday – Yogurt with granola, French toast sticks, apple wedges

Wednesday – Cheesy egg biscuit, peaches

Thursday – Cold cereal, cinnamon roll, juice or fruit

Friday – Oatmeal muffin, string cheese, fruit

 

Milk is served with breakfast and lunch. Milk choices: 8-ounce carton of no-fat chocolate milk, 1 percent white milk or no-fat white milk.

Breakfast juice choices include 4-ounce servings of apple juice, grape juice or orange juice.

The breakfast bar for Lewistown Junior High and Fergus High schools consists of an entrée and a serving each of fruit or juice and milk. Students may choose one item from each category.

Menu subject to change due to price and availability of products. All meals meet USDA guidelines.
