Fergus Model United Nations to hold fundraiser

 

The Fergus High Model United Nations Club will hold a fundraiser in conjunction with Pizza Hut on Thursday, Nov. 30. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of food between 6 and 9 p.m. will go to help support the club’s upcoming trip to their Missoula competition.

 

Sign up for youth hockey Nov. 30

 

Youth hockey leagues will start soon and kids of all ages are invited to attend a sign-up meeting on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Lewistown Civic Center. The league is open to boys and girls of all skill levels and new players are welcome.

Equipment is required to play and there will be a participation fee. A gear swap is scheduled from 1-4 p.m., Dec. 2, at Krings Greenhouse. If you have gear to donate or want to pick up gear, contact Scott Kirsch at 366-0755.

‘On Golden Pond’ coming to Lewistown in January

 

Monday evening, Jan. 29, 2018, the Montana Repertory Theater from Missoula returns to Lewistown. Their show this year is “On Golden Pond.”

The Kiwanis Club and Road Show committee will be ready with tickets and posters for the Christmas Stroll on Friday. Tickets to “On Golden Pond” are available at Lewistown Art Center, Don’s Store, Council on Aging, 618 Coffee, Seiden Drug and Rising Trout Coffee.

Lewistown Public Library requests patrons fill out satisfaction survey

 

The Lewistown Public Library Director and Board of Trustees are working on a strategic plan for the library. In order to get the most feedback, a survey was designed to allow people to share their favorite things about the library, share their concerns and suggest things they want to see changed. Please fill out the survey – you can drop by the Library front desk and fill one out, or complete an online survey by accessing the website www.lewistownlibrary.org.

 

 Let’s go Strolling 

 

Don’t miss the annual Christmas Stroll, Friday, Nov. 24 between 4-8 p.m. in downtown Lewistown. The community is invited to participate in this festive event by being part of the Parade of Lights and/or setting up an outside booth to sell your wares.

The Parade of Lights starts at 5:30 p.m., with lineup taking place in front of the Courthouse at 5 p.m.  There is no need to pre-register…just show up.

Vendors are invited to set up a booth on Main Street to sell food, beverage, crafts, etc. Call the Chamber to coordinate a location. There is no charge for booth space.

Trap and Skeet Club to share in last Elk Lodge Burger Bar of the season

 

The Lewistown Trap and Skeet Club will gather at Pine Meadows Golf Club on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m. to share in the last Elk Lodge’s Burger Bar of the season. Trap and Skeet members and their guests will pay a la carte for their dinners and beverages.

Members are encouraged to share this invitation with other Trap and Skeet Club members (active and in-active), family, friends and prospective members.

Wind and Strings to headline Saturday’s afternoon dance

 

Come and dance to the country band, Wind and Strings, at the Nov. 25, Saturday afternoon dance. The band features Tom Wilson on harmonica, Carole Songer on vocals, Tony Hencil on dobro and Woodie Westburg on guitar and vocals.

The dance hall is located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Barnes Street. The dance goes from 2 to 4 p.m. Dancers of all ages are welcome.

There will be a coffee/cookie break at 3 p.m. There is a small admission fee.

 

Free holiday dinner in Grass Range

 

Community members are invited to enjoy a free Thanksgiving dinner at the Fox Den in Grass Range on Thursday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. Bring a side dish if you can; if not, just come and share a meal.
