Angela Julia Rogers

Angela Julia Rogers, beloved mother, passed away on Nov. 25, 2017, surrounded by her children. Mom was born Jan. 9, 1929 in Moore. She spent her early childhood years on the Judith River near Ware, Montana. Mom continued on to St. Leo’s School in Lewistown, where she lived with Doc and Sally Soltero. After she graduated from St. Leo’s High School, Mom attended nursing school at Carroll College in Helena and completed her nursing practicum at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings. She spent a majority of her nursing career being employed by several nursing homes.

Mom married James O. Rogers Jr. in 1952. Mom started her family, which was the love of her life, in 1953 with the birth of her daughter Roxanne. Her beloved son James was born in 1956, followed by the completion of her most cherished family with the arrival of another son, Wesley, in 1957.

Mom was a compassionate person, helping many friends and neighbors. She was especially known for her devoted care of her flowerbeds. People were impressed with Mom’s enduring spirit and gentle thoughtfulness. She gracefully passed hand-in-hand with her Lord.

Mom is survived by her daughter Roxanne and husband John Eixenberger of Rathdrum, Idaho; her son James; and her son Wesley and Shelley Rogers of Oregon City, Ore.; grandson TJ and Brynn Eixenberger of Spokane, Wash.; granddaughter Emily and Ernesto Ruiz of Spokane, Wash.; grandson Brett and Katelyn Rogers of Castle Rock, Col.; and granddaughter Stephanie Rogers of Lesce, Slovenia; great-grandchildren Nolan and Tenley Rogers, Scarlett and Ehlise Eixenberger, and Evelyn Ruiz. Grandma Mary Tognascioli and Sally Soltero both gave her the foundations of family love. The Lord’s faithfulness guided Mom’s life throughout the years.
